We are looking for someone to help our Shop Manager working on planters, tillage, equipment, and other small machinery. The intern can expect to learn to sell, install, and troubleshoot brands such as Precision Planting, Ag Excel, Martin, Copperhead Ag, as well as normal equipment service. The ideal candidate will already have knowledge of agriculture equipment and mechanic skills. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Approach all tasks with safety, customer service, teamwork, and attention to detail in mind
•    Install, calibrate, upgrade, and troubleshoot all equipment sold by Performance Ag Indiana
•    Attend all necessary training sessions to achieve and maintain Precision Ag equipment expertise
•    Operate Precision Planting meter test stands to calibrate meters to perform to customers' satisfaction
•    Troubleshoot customer’s Precision Planting issues and guide them through a solution
•    Maintain records to ensure complete and accurate billing of services 
•    Help keep employee software programs working and up to date
•    Ability to supervise and coordinate the work of others
•    Assist in other areas as needed

•    Other job-related duties may be assigned or removed as needs change at the discretion of team leadership

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

•    Fundamental understanding of agriculture equipment and service/maintenance aspects
•    Ability to troubleshoot issues and execute proper decision making skills without supervision
•    Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation
•    Basic computer skills and understanding of Precision Ag equipment displays and operation
•    Ability to work long varied hours/days as business dictates
•    Ability to lift 50 lbs
